Two Mountains Financial Services Pty Ltd is an authorised Financial Services Provider, in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act. Two Mountains Financial Services is licensed for Advise, Intermediary Scripted and Other in respect of Category I, Long-term Insurance Sub-Category A. TMFS accepts liability for all services provided by its representatives, which services may be provided under supervision. TMFS acts as an intermediary and earns commission which is permitted under the Long-term Insurance Act and the Regulations thereto.

Product Details

Type of Cover Funeral Insurance Cover: The policy provides cover for the Insured and pays out upon the happening of the death of the Insured Lives.
Type of PolicyMicro-Insurance: Funeral Cover.
Monthly Premium Premiums are paid by debit order, cash, pay@ or persal deductions. You must pay all monthly premiums by the 1st day of every calendar month.

If you do not pay the premium by this date, we will allow a two (2) month grace period to pay the premium. If you do not pay the premium within this grace period, the Policy will be of no effect and will be considered lapsed by the Insurer. You will be notified of the lapse and no cancellation charges will apply.

We will review / increase your premium once a year.

Your Obligations
  • You must pay the monthly premium.
  • All premiums owed must be paid in full before a claim can be processed.
  • Any claim must be submitted within 180 days of the applicable death.
  • You must provide all information to us within 31 days of when we request documentation or information.
  • You must update your personal information and any other relevant policy information when necessary.
  • You must inform us if your address and/or contact details change.
  • Neither you nor anyone acting on your behalf may engage in any unlawful activity to obtain any benefit under this insurance contract.
  • You must provide full and honest answers to all questions asked by us or our intermediary.
  • Providing incorrect information may impact the validity of your claim.
Other Matters of Importance
  • You must be informed of any material changes to the information set out here.
  • If a complaint to Two Mountains Underwriters is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may submit it to the National Financial Ombuds Scheme.
  • If your premium is paid by debit order, it must be in favour of Two Mountains Underwriters and may not be transferred without approval.
  • Two Mountains Underwriters must give 31 days’ notice in writing of its intention to cancel your debit order.
  • The insurer must provide written reasons for the rejection of any claim.
  • Two Mountains Underwriters must give 31 days’ written notice of its intention to cancel your policy.
  • You are entitled to a free copy of your policy.
  • You may request a copy of any transaction requirement submitted.
  • You have an obligation to disclose material information.
  • You may request recordings of any applicable telephonic disclosures.
  • All material facts must be accurately and properly disclosed.

Waiver of Rights

Two Mountains may not request or induce in any manner a client to waive any right or benefit conferred on the client by or in terms of any provision of the General Code of Conduct, or recognize, accept, or act on any such waiver by a client.

Complaints

If you feel that your rights have been prejudiced, or you have been aggrieved in any way, you have the right to lodge a complaint. A copy of the complaints process is available upon request.
